The interview was pretty basic. I had to go through different stages: Recruiter > Manager > Research Scientists. It felt more like rapid fire questions versus a conversation where both parties got to know one another. Most of the questions they asked were common interview questions. I noticed multiple red flags during the interview process. Reading the reviews on here verified some of my suspicions.

It was a pretty standard interview process with about 3 rounds. The first round was a 1-hour interview with the manager, which was longer than I expected. Then there was an interview with two executive directors, and finally, another interview with the manager. Everything was conducted remotely via Zoom. The interviewers were helpful and answered my questions thoroughly, and I did the same for them.

A recruiter reached out to me about this role at Irvine. First, I spoke with HR, then the hiring manager. Both interviews were remote, one over the phone with HR and the other via video with the hiring manager. They were pretty direct and to the point. The recruiter extended the offer, and the hiring manager followed up too.
