Showed up 5 minutes late, then spent 5 minutes talking about the position so the interview was only 10 minutes long. It was a very straightforward interview, but the interviewer didn't seem very interested in being there.

I had a panel interview over the phone with the manager, LSC, and management from another state. It took about 3 weeks after the interview to hear back from HR, and then they offered me the job. They also contacted my references. Everything was done over the phone and online. This was during COVID, so things might be different now, but HR was in a different state, so it was likely virtual. The whole process took around 2 months, which is pretty standard for a government job.

I applied for a Paralegal role, but they told me Paralegals only last 2 years there. So, they convinced me to accept a Legal Assistant/Secretary job instead for better job security. It turned out the two Lead Group Assistants I reported to had terrible attitudes. They'd dump their work on us Legal Assistants/Secretaries, then take the credit and praise from the attorneys.
