Applied online, heard back in 2 weeks about an online assessment. A month later, had a phone interview. The phone interview was 30 minutes with two IRS employees where they asked behavioral and situational questions using the STAR method. After that, I had to do a background check, which took 4-6 weeks.

I had a phone call initially to set up the interview. Then, during the actual phone interview, I was told there would be around 4 or 5 people on the call. They mentioned they couldn't provide more details about the interview beforehand. They ended up calling 30 minutes early and asked if that was okay or if they should reschedule. I was fine with the earlier call.
