Marketing Manager
Following an initial screening call, the interview process included an in-person meeting with HR, a phone conversation with a potential manager, a skills test, another interview with a different manager, a request for professional references, and concluded with a final call to extend an offer.
- Can you discuss your professional background?
- Could you elaborate on your past employment experiences?
- What specific knowledge and skills do you possess relevant to marketing management?
Marketing Manager
The interview process started with a call from the recruiter, then an in-person meeting with the marketing lead. After that, there was a take-home assignment. Following the assignment, I had another in-person interview, this time with the design lead. The initial stages were fine. But after I submitted my assignment, I was asked for another in-person interview with someone from a different department. This person admitted they hadn't even looked at my assignment and just decided I didn't have enough experience. The interview ended right there. I was really surprised by how unprofessional and disrespectful that was, and how they just wasted my time. It all worked out though because I got hired by a much better company, but my advice is to at least treat candidates with some basic respect and don't waste their time.
- I was tasked with creating a go-to-market strategy for a self-serve user acquisition platform, given certain background info, target audience, and goals.
- The home assignment involved developing a go-to-market strategy for a self-serve user acquisition platform, taking into account the provided context, audience, and objective.
Growth Manager
The interview process for the Growth Manager role at Unity (ironSource) was pretty organized and professional. It had several rounds focusing on user acquisition strategy, analytical thinking, and creative optimization. The interviewers were smart, nice, and really interested in my background. They communicated clearly, even though it took a bit longer than I expected. Overall, it was a good and interesting experience.
- Given the data, could you develop a case study for a gaming studio?
