Had an initial call with HR, then a call with the dev team lead. After that, there were 2 basic code tests to make sure I was fluent. Finally, there was a 1-hour meeting with the whole team to see if I was a good fit.

The interview began with a 1-hour phone call. We discussed the company's background, history, and products, then went over the job description. I was asked about my experience with the role's responsibilities and to give examples of using specific software or skills. The next steps were a design test, followed by a panel interview to discuss my approach to the test and for an in-person interview. They mentioned they wanted to hire soon, within two weeks, and would interview candidates back-to-back on a single day. The design test was expected to take 30 minutes to 3 hours, likely around 1-1.5 hours. After I submitted the design test, I received an email asking for my salary expectations. They had previously stated they paid competitively and above market value. I responded with market value research for the area using Glassdoor. After that, I never heard back, and the planned interview date passed without any communication. I assume they hired someone, but it's good practice to notify candidates. Despite the ghosting, Ironnet seems like a good place to work with good benefits and fun outings.

I had two interviews over Google Hangouts, and the whole thing took about a month. In the end, they suddenly realized they couldn't hire international students on an F1 visa, which is something I mentioned right at the start in my first email. I got a nice email saying their Executive Team would decide if they could hire me, but they never did. I never heard back from them. I don't know about US students, but for international students like me, this company is a definite 'no'.

There were two or three casual 30-minute Zoom interviews, then a more formal panel interview that seemed to go well. After the panel, the recruiter said he wanted to offer me the job, but a major client issue came up and they couldn't extend the offer. I asked for a timeline, but never heard back. It was really unprofessional and felt like gaslighting to tell someone you want to hire them and then ghost them.
