First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ironman Triathlon.
Partnership Services Manager
First, I had an interview with the hiring manager. Then, I interviewed with the team. Finally, I was given a case study to work on and create a presentation. I then presented this case study and answered questions from the hiring manager and other senior decision-makers.
- Can you tell me which partners you're most enthusiastic about collaborating with, and explain your reasoning?
Commercial Manager
I had an HR screen, then I met with senior executives. There were two rounds in total. The second round involved a week-long preparation for a mock presentation where I had to pitch IRONMAN for a real brand.
- Could you prepare a mock presentation for a real brand?
Director
I talked to seven people in total, and met with one person two times. It was a pretty typical process: first a recruiter screen, then the hiring manager, followed by two people from the team, and two more from the direct team, and finally my hiring manager's boss. Most of it was in person.
- Can you share your experience with events?
- How does your background connect with IRONMAN?
- Would you be open to traveling for the role?
Intern
They want you to talk about your experience and how it relates to the company. It's a good idea to research the company and the internship description to make sure it's a good fit. This will help you answer questions better. Ask questions to show you're interested and to see if it's a good fit for you. Remember, you're also evaluating the internship and company to see if it's the right choice for you.
- What makes you want to intern at this company?
