I interviewed with Iron System on Sep 10th for a Technical Program Manager role. First, HR Prachi Singh talked to me, assessed my experience, and sent the JD and a meeting invite. On interview day, I joined early. There were two panelists, one of whom joined 10 minutes late for our 30-minute call. The first panelist asked me to introduce myself, but cut me off after I started explaining my 20+ years of experience, saying 'enough it is too much.' They then asked about my certifications and grilled me on core networking switches and routers, which wasn't in the JD. I answered some questions, but not others. When I explained some answers, the panelist reacted with 'OH MY GOD,' which was unprofessional. The first panelist then passed the questioning to the second panelist who had joined late. This second panelist asked questions that were out of context and not relevant to the JD. Neither panelist seemed to have reviewed my resume or realized the role was for a Technical Program Manager, not a Network Engineer. The interview concluded within the 30-minute timeframe. I was sure about the outcome and later looked up company reviews.

I got a recruiter call who scheduled my first round Skype interview. I attended the interview on the scheduled date and was asked about 14-15 questions covering manual and automation testing. I was unsure about 2-3 questions, with partial knowledge on two and unable to write an XPath for dynamic elements on one. The interviewer inquired about my role responsibilities, then moved on to manual testing, agile methodologies, mobile automation tools like Appium, web automation, and finally Java programming. Although I felt I passed the first round, I received negative feedback due to not providing perfect answers to three specific questions. The questions I struggled with were: describing `System.out.println()`, explaining WebDriver and the syntax `WebDriver driver = new ChromeDriver()`, and writing an XPath for Google search results links. Despite answering 13 out of 15 questions correctly, the feedback was negative. This was a very bad experience. If you're looking for a perfect candidate, good luck finding them.

I was contacted by email from a recruiter, not sure if they applied directly. They asked about when the position needed to be filled, basically within the week, and about the rate. The interview was set up quickly for the end of the week. I had two interviews: one with a manager on the west coast via video, and another over voice. They asked basic data center questions and asked me to tell them about the job. I answered everything well, but the last question from the manager was poorly worded and he got angry because of his thick accent. I never heard back. It was supposed to be a three-interview process, but the recruiter just ignores you. Don't bother unless you want your time wasted.
