The first round was a super quick chat with the president, maybe 5 minutes. She told me about the company and what they do, then asked me a bunch of stuff about myself. She actually called me later that same day to say I was moving on to the second round. That interview was with a senior account manager and was like a deep dive into what a typical day looks like in the role. At the end of that, the senior account manager set me up for the third round, mentioning Katelyn would ask me three things: why this company, why me, and when I could start if I got the job.

I applied online thru LinkedIn and got a call from the recruiter to talk about the position. She asked about location, when I could start, and gave me details. I liked hearing that the job is mostly account management but also offers growth into management. Since I graduate in May 2018, they fit me in ASAP to talk with the manager. The manager in person confirmed what the recruiter said and explained how to move into management. They answered all my questions. As a competitive athlete, I was happy to learn that reaching management is based on my own efforts.

I had a short first interview with the president, then a 3-hour second interview the next day where I shadowed an Assistant Manager. The job involves 8-9 hours of fieldwork, 5 days a week, selling DirecTV services in busy stores. While it pays well and offers promotions for hitting 6 sales/week, it wasn't what I wanted. During the shadowing, the AM spent 30 minutes trying to sell to people, and everyone said no.

The interview process was easy. They ask questions relating to your available schedule and to determine how interested you are about the position. You do not need a college degree, but you do need people skills.
