I interviewed for Systems Administrator and did two on-site rounds. Meeting the team was good, but I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up or closure after getting to the final stages. Better communication would have made for a better candidate experience.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was a bit drawn out, with 6 interviews spread over two weeks, each conducted as an individual audio or video call. I felt like I was leading some of the interviews because they seemed unprepared about what they wanted to get from me and didn't have much info on next steps or timelines. Having multiple people on a call could be better than one at a time if they want multiple interviewers. The last part, a one-week paid trial, was a smart move to see if the work and culture were a good fit.

Behavioral Technical

So I had 3 rounds for this role. First up was a quick 15 min HR screening call where they just wanted to know about my past projects and the tech I've used. Then, there was a Web Dev Technical Screening, which was more about my overall experience and the tech stack I've worked with, plus some basic questions. The final round was with the hiring manager, who also focused on my previous experience and the technologies I've used. Everyone was really nice to chat with, and we had good discussions. Sadly, I got rejected after the Hiring Manager round, and they didn't give much detail why. It's a bit disappointing to get rejected without much feedback, especially after a good talk. Honestly, if you're gonna reject someone, at least ask some technical questions in that last round to see if they actually know anything. It's frustrating to get unclear feedback after a seemingly good conversation.

So the interview was pretty chill. First, there was this aptitude round, which I passed. Then came a technical round where they grilled me on all things testing, especially for websites and mobile apps. I aced that too. After that, it was an HR round with some basic questions like where I live, if I'm up for relocating, and what my salary expectations are.
