First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IRC.
Data Automation Intern
They first send out a screening questionnaire and then schedule a phone interview for the hiring process. The overall process was pretty chill, given it's an internship program.
- How would you handle a situation where X and Y disagree?
Officer
Had an online interview for the officer position. First, there was a written test, then after a few days, an online interview, and finally a background check. After that, I received the offer conditions, but I didn't accept it.
- What are your motivations for the position
Advocate
The interview process started with a phone call that focused on behavioral questions. After that, I had a second interview with the hiring manager. Both interviews went well. However, after the second interview, I waited for a month without any communication. I reached out to them via email and was told they were still in the process of interviewing candidates. I waited another month, and then they emailed to say they hadn't hired anyone because the position had been closed.

Investigator
They had 2 interviews, the first one was with HR and the second one was with the hiring manager. In between those, there was a written test. The first interview had broad questions about the IRC and its values, and asked for examples to show that those values match with the applicant, such as in cases of discrimination.
- Can you tell me about the IRC and its values?
- Do you have examples that demonstrate how your values align with the IRC's values, for instance, regarding discrimination?
