First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IPS.
HR Manager
It was a very lengthy process with too many interviews. Instead of a panel interview, I met with each person individually, which took a very long time. One of the virtual interviews was strange because the person didn't turn on their camera.
- Are you comfortable with a daily office commute and a 30-40% travel requirement?
Production Manager
This was a 30-45 minute behavioral interview. They asked about my past and current experiences, and how I handled them. They want to see how I used the STAR method and what I learned from my experiences, maybe even what I'd do differently.
- Can you describe an instance where you had a disagreement regarding the implementation or understanding of a company policy?
Teacher
The interview process was pretty rigorous. They asked me about my experience working with diverse groups of people and how committed I am to the job. There were also a lot of questions about my past teaching experience.
- How would you handle complaints from parents?
- Can you describe your experience with diverse populations?
- What is your level of commitment to this role?
Senior Project Architect
We'll start with email exchanges to look over your resume and portfolio. Then, you'll have a call with HR to go over the position, pay, and working hours, and set up an interview. Finally, there's a call with the Director to chat about the company's philosophy, your job duties, and any opportunities.
- What would you consider your greatest strength?
- Could you tell me about your background?
