Technical Support Engineer
The interview process was really quick. A technical recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone screening. During the call, she mostly talked about my resume and asked me some non-technical stuff. She thought I was a good fit and invited me for an in-person interview, which was about 20 minutes. For the in-person interview, there were two parts. First, I met with three people from the support team (two managers and one engineer). We went over my resume, and I explained my previous roles. They asked about my skills and some technical questions. Then, they presented a support scenario where one of them played a customer with a slow computer, and I had to act as support. They were assessing my knowledge and troubleshooting skills, especially my ability to ask the right questions to find the root cause. After that, those three people left, and the VP of IT joined me for a one-on-one. We reviewed my resume and my past responsibilities. I don't recall everything, but we ended up discussing PC building and my salary expectations. Then, they offered me the job. Overall, the interview was fast and straightforward: a phone screening and a two-part in-person interview. The whole process could take up to two days if the in-person interview is scheduled for the next day. Importantly, the manager mentioned that if you don't get an offer on the day of the in-person interview, you're rejected, with no second chance.

QA Analyst
I saw an ad on Craigslist and interviewed with the recruiter first. Then I went to IPRO, which is in the same office suite, and met with the QA manager and the Customer Service Manager. They asked a lot about my experience, mostly how I'd handle problems, not super technical stuff. Some questions were kind of weird with no right answer, just seeing how I'd come up with solutions on my own. A good, detailed answer usually went over well. The company has a cool, energetic vibe, but it's pretty chill. They seem to have a culture of 'dad jokes.' Also, it feels like there's an unwritten rule to keep conversations to conservative and religious topics. Just be professional and don't share too much personal stuff, and you'll be okay. I heard someone got in trouble for wearing religious skin-tone gauges.

- How would you go about testing each individual component of a window blind?

Software Engineer
Started on their Careers page, then redirected to a 3rd party Applicant Tracking System which was time consuming. I emailed HR directly because the experience was so poor and was almost immediately declined by an automated system. 10 days later, HR emailed to set up a video meeting. The interviewers were nice and talked about the company being owned by a private equity firm and trying to monetize. I learned not to be shy about my proudest work, even if it's creative. I talked about ITSM experience and they got excited about my skill set but then said I would 'only be writing selenium tests.' I showed them some selenium tests and utilities I wrote and mentioned my Github. After the call, I didn't hear back for 2 months and had 2-3 ignored emails, which seemed like an obvious rejection. They mentioned flexibility in location and possible remote work, but didn't offer a remote task.
- Are you experienced with automated testing for Javascript applications?
- Which game engine are you currently working with?
Technical Content Writer
I was contacted by the talent manager, and we had a good chat. She then scheduled an interview with the CEO, expecting it to be about 1-2 hours, possibly including a panel if we had time. Upon arrival, the CEO seemed uninterested and mentioned he hadn't reviewed my resume or portfolio because he'd just returned from a 10-day trip. He clarified that the interview was actually a 'prescreening' and it concluded within 10 minutes. I sent a thank-you note out of politeness, but received no reply.
- Could you start by telling me a little about yourself?
