First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IPRO.
Intern
The interview went well, the interviewer was nice and friendly. It was pretty much standard questions about why I'm interested in the company and the role. So, definitely be ready to talk about why you want to join this specific company.
- Why are you interested in working with us?
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Why did you choose this career path?
Senior SAS Programmer
The interview process was smooth but challenging. It involved two interviewers who focused on in-depth questions about specific topics like SQL, Arrays, Macros, handling missing values, and database connections. They also inquired about my pharma experience and current project.
- Can you tell me about your current role and what your responsibilities are?
- Can you describe your overall experience in the pharma industry?
- Could you tell me about your current project?
Quality Improvement Director
I applied online and got contacted by HR within a week for a phone interview. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview with the team. HR also sent some employment forms to fill out before the on-site. The office was nice and seemed like a friendly place to work. I was told I'd hear back within two weeks, but after three weeks, I had to follow up. They said a key decision maker was traveling and I should hear back soon. I never did. Two months later, I followed up again, assuming the position was filled, but still no response. It would be good to at least get an email about the decision.
- Can you tell me about your previous projects, the challenges you encountered, and how you addressed them?
Program Director
Applied online and had a screening interview with HR way later. Then, I had an in-person interview in Albany with two people. After a lot of following up, they finally sent me for another interview. I thought it was with two managers for two different health department jobs, but there were actually about six people for just one job, and no one explained why. I was definitely overqualified, and the questions showed it. They ghosted me after this interview, which was unprofessional given the meetings and months of trying to get in touch. I wouldn't work for them now.
- How would you manage me?
