First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IPA.
Director
It took a month to even be contacted for an initial interview. That first meeting was a very brief Zoom chat with HR, who is a contracted third party. I was then invited to meet virtually with the president (it's a small association) and was told it would take a while to complete that round due to scheduling conflicts. I waited another 3+ weeks to be notified if I was selected to move forward (or not), just to see the job reposted without any notification. The entire process took two months which did not feel respectful of candidates' time.
- Can you discuss your background and what interests you about this role?
- What are your preferred methods for staying organized?
Almoxarife
It was in-person, with a group activity and a collective chat. It was interesting, but nervousness ended up hindering the interview with the selector. However, I gave my best throughout the entire selection process during the interview. The environment was pleasant and welcoming to everyone.
- Tell me about your experience with the job's responsibilities.
Marketing Specialist
I was really excited about interviewing here. I got all the way to the third and final interview, and the hiring manager even checked with all my references. I was so sure I'd get the job, but then they got nervous because the person who had the role before me really messed things up. I ended up losing out before they could even offer me the job because they were scared of making another hiring mistake.
- Based on your previous experience, what value can you offer to this company?
Manager
The hiring process had 3 steps: First, applications were submitted online. Second, there were two written tests: a 1-hour psychotechnical test and a 24-hour practical case study. Once those were cleared, an online interview was scheduled, conducted in both French and English.
- Describe a real-world situation from your career where you had to make a decision and explain your problem-solving process for it.
