& Process

The entire interview process spanned about three weeks. Initially, there was a phone screen with an HR person where they asked basic questions like salary expectations and about your past work. Then, you interviewed with the Brand Manager, who asked position-specific questions about your past projects and their outcomes, how you approach problem-solving, your passion for the field, and how you could add value to the team. After that, there was an interview with the Brand Director or VP, focusing on character. Finally, there was an interview with the CMO, also character-based.

A recruiter reached out about the role. First, there was a brief 5-10 minute phone chat with the recruiter. Then, a few days later, I had an in-person interview at Iovate. It was with me, the HR Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, and Director of Marketing. They asked quite a few questions about my past work, skills, and why I wanted to come to Iovate. It felt pretty standard, though some usual questions were missing. They asked about my salary expectations. I also asked them about the management style at Iovate and what they'd expect from me in the first 3 months if hired. The interview took about 45 minutes and felt really good. Three days later, the recruiter called with an offer. They even upped the offer because I had another offer elsewhere. It showed me they were really committed to finding common ground, and I'm excited to join!

It was a phone interview, then two in-person interviews. At the end, I met with the CEO. He asked me about product strategy for a new type of store. Then I had a casual chat with HR and my future boss about fitness.

The interview process was short and to the point, focusing on assessing knowledge and experience related to the job. There was also a presentation exercise, which is a key part of the monthly duties.
