I put in my application online and then about a month later, a recruiter reached out. We had a call, but the recruiter had a really bad attitude and just started firing off questions that felt more like demands for information. They even questioned why my previous company did things a certain way and seemed incredulous that they even had to speak with me. It was a really bizarre and off-putting experience. By the end of the call, I definitely didn't want to work there anymore, and it seemed like they felt the same because they ghosted me without even sending a rejection email. The whole thing was just so weird.

The interview process spanned about a month, and I was informed early on that I had advanced, which was appreciated. I reached the final round with at least two other candidates, interviewing at the Tampa Research Facility. The hiring manager, Arden, and her team created a welcoming and comfortable environment, making the interview experience great. I enjoyed learning about the role, the company culture, and Iovance's mission. Unfortunately, due to a holiday break in early July, I was notified that I wasn't selected and they moved forward with another candidate. Despite this, it was a positive experience overall. I want to commend the HR/Recruiting team (Edward, Elizabeth, Kevin, Sara) and the hiring manager, Arden, for their excellent communication and coordination, keeping me informed throughout the process, which stood out compared to other companies. I would gladly repeat the experience and look forward to potential future opportunities with this great company, known for its culture and promising future.

So I interviewed with Iovance, and it was pretty intense. Started with two rounds and a total of five interviews. Things moved fast at first. After I talked to the hiring manager, they set up a 3-hour panel interview with four people for one afternoon. The people interviewing me were nice and seemed really into my application. But then, after the last interview, it just went silent. I reached out twice, once after a week and then the next week, to both the recruiter and the hiring manager, and heard nothing back. Pretty sure I got ghosted, which is super unprofessional and rude to people who put in the time. It makes the company look bad, especially since they're growing and should care about their image.

I've interviewed with this company twice for the same type of role and both times it felt like I was being misled and there was barely any follow up. For the first position I was interviewing for, around the third round, one of the interviewers thought I was interviewing for a different position. The other interviewer, I couldn't get a hold of them after the interview. I was just completely baffled. I have never seen this before. It's not like the interviews were particularly difficult or had any malice in them. There just very little follow up or direction.
