& Process

The interview process was super long and they didn't communicate well about it at all. Lots of interviews that basically repeated the same stuff and required a ton of work. It started with a phone screen, then a paper presentation about their main product. After that, I had to do a formal presentation for 20 minutes on a CVS product that I chose. Then there were two more interviews: another HR phone screen and a quick chat with the CEO. It took a lot of prep and thinking, and it seemed like there was confusion behind the scenes, with different people giving conflicting instructions about where to send slides and what to include.

I had 3 interviews for this role. The first one was a phone call. The second interview was with the team I'd be working with. The third interview involved a last-minute presentation: I had to prepare it in 4 hours and then present it to a panel. After my second interview, they called me while I was driving home, asking if I could interview the next morning. I ended up working my current job until 10pm, then stayed up until 2am making the presentation, and then had to be there at 8am to present. They said they'd get back to me after the holidays. I sent a thank you email, then a couple more follow-ups over two weeks post-holidays, but never heard anything back. This company seemed new and exciting with lots of growth potential. I put a lot of effort into the interviews and the preparation, so not getting any response, not even a 'no,' felt really disrespectful.

I went through a few rounds with the head of HR and got good vibes each time. Then I had an interview with the CEO, but he ghosted our first meeting and sent someone else last minute. After that, I interviewed with the team and the Ops leader. They also had me do a 'simulation' where I had to prepare a presentation. HR gave me really positive feedback and said they'd let me know about an offer soon. But then, silence. Didn't hear back even after I sent two follow-up emails.

The whole thing was pretty fast, 3 rounds, took about 3-4 weeks. First up was the hiring manager. Then I talked to a senior person on the team. The last round was with the CEO and some other team members where I had to present on a CVS product. It was okay overall, just felt a bit misled because in the final interview the CEO mentioned hoping I'd join next month, but then I got an automated rejection.
