Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Invisible Technologies.
Software Engineer
I was contacted by an HR representative from Invisible Solutions regarding a Software Engineer position. The interview process consisted of 7 steps: 3 in-person interviews, a coding assessment, and other online evaluations. I went through all the stages, which included a system design interview. However, the team's specific needs for the role and the expected impact of the chosen candidate were not clearly communicated. The expectations seemed to vary between interviewers, leading to a disorganized process. After the final interview, I awaited an update but did not receive an offer. Despite my attempts to follow up, I received no feedback, and my final email went unanswered. This lack of communication created a poor impression and felt disrespectful of my time. Consequently, I cannot endorse the hiring process due to its unclear role expectations and inadequate follow-up communication.
- Can you describe the most intricate system you have engineered?
Software Development Engineer
It was a technical round with 4 questions on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) that had to be done in a specific time. Then, there was a programming round where you had to code in the language you chose when applying or the one you're best at. Finally, a managerial round to check behavioral and managerial skills.
- Questions are related to past experiences and behavioral aspects, as well as technical topics.
- The exact questions depend on the manager, but overall, they are at an intermediate level to assess whether you are competent or not.
Software Engineer
The interview process involved an initial 1-hour call where the recruiter spoke very quickly about hiring 20 people. Next, I interviewed with the engineering manager, which went well. After that, HR sent me a tech assessment. The subsequent stage was an onsite interview in Warsaw with three senior managers and one staff engineer. They asked detailed questions about my projects and my vision for the future. The final round focused on technical design. I felt very prepared and that it went fantastically, and I did a great job! Despite this, I received a generic rejection three working days later, which was an unpleasant surprise. I tried to ask HR for feedback on what went wrong but was ignored.
- Can you describe any conflicts you've encountered in previous roles?
- Tell me about your projects.
- What's your vision?
