Dog Trainer
I had a phone interview for a dog trainer position with Keith and the General Manager, which seemed to go well. Then, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview the following week. After that interview, they said they'd be in touch. I followed up a week later by phone, leaving a message since no one answered. I didn't hear anything. I called again the next week and left another message. This time, I did get a call back a few days later. It was a voicemail saying I got the job and that Andrea would send an email the following week with the details. When I hadn't heard anything by Wednesday afternoon, I emailed to ask when I would start because my current job needed my February schedule. A day or two later, I got an email back saying they no longer had a position for me. They had just had their training meeting and all their trainers wanted to work more in 2015. I found this to be bad business and unethical, especially since they offered me the job first. I found this whole situation distasteful and a reflection of poor judgment on their part.
- Of all the jobs I've had, which one did I like the most?
Technician Installer Trainer
Had about an hour and a half interview. We went over my work history and I pointed out skills that would fit the job. We talked about my professional background for about half the time, and then I got to share a bit about myself personally.
- If you were given an offer, what's a weakness you'd want to improve on?
Pet Trainer
We had a group phone call with all the trainers and the owner. They asked me questions and wanted to discuss the job. Then they had me do a ride along, like a shadow, of one of the active trainers.
