Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Invesco.
Technology Intern
I applied online back in December and then got a HireVue thing in early Jan. About 3 weeks later, I had an interview with a head manager, and a few days after that, they set up another interview with the team manager. Unfortunately, after that second interview, I heard nothing. I found out I didn't get the job through the portal. I liked talking to the recruiter, but wished I'd gotten some feedback after two interviews.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you share an instance where you encountered conflict within a team setting?
- There were also questions regarding my technical abilities.
Intern
The interview was a video call. It mostly covered asset management topics. They asked about my interest in asset management, my experience with it, and different asset classes. There were also some straightforward questions about visa applications and my availability.
- Could you share your experience with various asset classes?
Intern
So, the first part was a group interview where we were given a competency-based question about a week ahead of time. Then, there was a one-on-one interview to check my motivation and see if I was competent for the job.
- What do you like to do for fun outside of finance?
- Can you discuss some basic competency questions on managing risk?
- What motivates you to apply for this role?
