I had 2 rounds in total. The first was an HR round, and the second was a technical round. Both went well. HR asked standard personal interview questions. In the technical round, a senior manager interviewed me and assessed both my basic accounting knowledge and my behavioral skills.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online for the Senior Financial Analyst job at Invesco/Atlantic Trust in Chicago. The in-house recruiter called me for a phone chat. She talked about the company and the job, then asked about my background. She seemed to think I was a good fit. Next, I met the hiring manager (a finance manager) and a group VP (who's not in finance) for the final interviews. Because the company is in Atlanta, a high-level finance exec also joined the interviews. The meeting with the hiring manager and VP went really well; we clicked and they thought I was perfect for the job. But, as happens sometimes, not everyone agreed. The exec from Atlanta wasn't convinced, and I didn't get the offer. Just remember, anyone in the process can stop a job offer from happening.
