Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Invesco.
Business Analyst
I had a phone screening for this role. The interviewer went through questions really fast, and the whole thing was over quickly. I explained my experience and how it fit the job, but at one point, I felt like she was rushing to finish the call. She asked about my salary range, and I told her I was okay with their range. Afterwards, I was told I'd hear back about the next round within the week, but then they ghosted me and rejected my application without explaining why. I even followed up, but got no response.
- Can you describe your current responsibilities?
- What are your salary expectations?
Business Analyst
I had an initial screening call with HR, where they asked basic questions like “Tell me about yourself” and logistical questions such as my flexibility to work from home. The next round was with the hiring manager, who was very friendly and took the time to help me understand the role in detail. It didn’t feel like a formal interview—it was more of an engaging and informative conversation.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What aspects of being a Business Analyst do you find most rewarding, and what do you find most challenging?
- Do you have prior experience working within investment firms?
Business Analyst
3 Rounds of Interviews, Poor Communication, Long wait time between callbacks. Claimed Hybrid model 2-3 days in office, but during the interview they claimed 4 days in the office. Interviewers were not that knowledgeable and are just legacy people at the company who aren't interested in growing or being innovative.
- Can you explain the SDLC and its application in investment technology?
