Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Invesco.
Senior Accountant
The interview started with some common questions like 'Tell me about yourself'. Then they asked a few questions about my previous work experience, why I was leaving my old company, and if I was open to rotational shifts. They also asked what I would do if there was no work.
- Could you explain what a cash flow statement is and also its proforma?
- How would you handle the prepaid insurance journal entry and its accounting, and what is the future adjustment for prepaid insurance?
- What is NAV?
Fund Accountant
I had a phone interview with HR first, then a second interview with three managers. After that, HR called me with an offer. Since I lived in a different state, all my interviews were over the phone. The company didn't pay for relocation but they did cover my flight.
- Could you explain what a bilateral swap is?
Fund Accountant
Got a call from the internal recruiter about a week after applying online for the Fund Accountant role. Then there was a basic phone interview with the recruiter to check if I was a good fit for the company. After that, I had an interview with two assistant managers and one senior manager. They asked some basic behavioral questions to see if I could do the job. My best advice is to just be yourself.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your approach to handling stress?
- Could you share an instance where you resolved a problem?
