The interview was very uncomfortable. I am sure I had more education than the panel interviewing me. I am not prior military. The panel seemed to be prior military. Some of the questions included how does your education benefit you?

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So, there were 3 interviews all in all. The first one was a phone call, lasted about half an hour, and was basically a screening. They asked me some general stuff about why I was interested in the company and the job, and also dug into my resume. The second interview was also by phone with the same person, and it went for about an hour. The last one was a demo interview where I had to put together a PowerPoint presentation and present it to a panel over the phone, though one person was physically there to set things up.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview took about an hour and they asked a variety of questions about my background and my familiarity with the military transition process. Since I'm retired military, I was quite knowledgeable about the entire process. The questions were direct, aiming to assess my qualifications. I'm a CFP Candidate, and this role can count towards CFP experience requirements, according to CFP Board experts. They presented a couple of hypothetical scenarios based on common job events to gauge my reactions.

Presentation

The interview was a 15 minute presentation about veteran unemployment, conducted via Face-time. The main goal was to check my ability to use and coordinate PPT and familiar materials, delivering an interesting presentation with the right content. The DOLEW workshops have very specific rules for content, exercises, and workbook basics. The interviewer wanted to see if I could present and meet the requirements while still making it interesting.
