First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intrum.
Financial Assistant Associate
I had an online video interview for a Financial Assistant Associate role. I logged in on time but was 14th in a queue, with the wait being much longer than expected, which felt disorganized. The interviewer started by asking about my current role and then why I wanted to work in a call centre. I explained my career change and ambition to move into management. They mentioned looking for candidates eager to help others, but didn't ask any follow-up questions about customer service scenarios or how I'd support customers. The interview ended quickly, with feedback that I lacked empathy, which I felt was unfair as I wasn't given a chance to show it through situational questions. The whole experience felt rushed and a bit messy.
- Can you tell me about your current occupation?
- What motivates your interest in a call centre position?
- Could you elaborate on your desire to assist individuals?
Software Engineer
Had two interviews. First one was a general chat with HR. Second one was with the Team Lead and Tech Lead. They asked me some situational questions like how I'd deal with slow DB queries or if API endpoints were down.
- How would you deal with slow DB queries?
- What if API endpoints are down?
Data Specialist
The hiring process was quite fast, with two stages: first an HR chat, then a meeting with the area managers. Both interviews felt informal, more like a chat about my experiences and what the team needed, rather than a structured interview. During the meetings, the feedback seemed positive, but then they ghosted me.
- Can you briefly describe your professional journey?
- What led you to apply for this role?
Accounts Payable Specialist
The first round interview involves HR asking about your personality, work background, and why you want to join Intrum. There will also be competency-based questions to gauge your skills in accounts payable.
- Tell me about your accounts payable background.
- How do you manage your workload and meet deadlines?
- Share an instance where you handled a challenging vendor relationship.
