Data Engineer
The interview process was excellent. Although the last round was supposed to be in-person in Hyderabad with expenses covered by the company, it ended up being a virtual round. I did not have to follow up on the schedule. The interviews were organized professionally, and HR provided timely updates. Overall, the experience was enjoyable.
- Questions about SQL, specifically Windows functions, rolling average, Top 3, and QUALIFY usage.
- Scenario-based questions related to Tableau.
- Questions about Snowflake, including its Architecture, Zero Clone Copying, RBAC, Storage vs Compute Usage, and Query optimisation.
Functional Tester
The whole experience was really bad. I got the job offer but had to relocate, so I asked for a week to move, and they agreed. They even offered work-from-home for the first week. But, they never finalized my salary and I only got a Letter of Intent, not a proper offer letter. They said the real offer would come on my joining day. I trusted them, turned down other jobs, and got everything ready to start on Monday. They kept calling until Sunday afternoon. They said they couldn't match my first salary offer, but I agreed to their new offer. Then, on Sunday night, just before I was supposed to start, they called and told me not to come in because of budget issues and changed requirements. I was so upset. I believed them and trusted the process, but it was all for nothing. Being told this at the last minute after everything was set was unprofessional and really upsetting.
- Technical round with the client
- Technical round with the manager
DevOps Engineer
The process was very long, with 5 interview rounds. After being told I was selected, they delayed for 2 weeks. Then, without any HR discussion, they made a low salary offer that they probably expected me to reject. They kept asking the same questions over and over during the 5 rounds.
- Questions related to AWS, specifically services like EC2, LoadBalancer, S3, and VPC.
- Two easy programming problems were asked: one involved a Star Triangle pattern.
- Another easy programming problem was about list manipulation.
Database Administrator
The interview process was good, with excellent communication and follow-up. The first round was a phone interview, which went well. The interviewer asked a single question about a topic and then delved deeper. I passed this round. The next round was in-person. The questions were comprehensive and covered most concepts. However, the interviewer's attitude was problematic. They didn't greet me or respond to my greetings, behaved rudely and bossily, and wouldn't listen to my answers, just kept asking questions. They were also texting on their phone during the interview, which was embarrassing. I request the HR and management to treat candidates respectfully; our time is also valuable. I felt I wasted a whole day. In my current company, I also value candidates' time and effort. The most unprofessional part was when the interviewer returned from a break and, after about 15 minutes, realized they were asking me questions from the wrong resume. They showed no remorse but continued the interview. I suspect some bias based on language or region. My request to interviewers is simple: if you're not interested, don't waste the candidate's time, and always show respect. Period.
