Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The interview process had a written and then an oral part, both led by a really nice and knowledgeable panel. It was a multi-step thing: first a written test on competency, then a week later, an oral interview. After that, we talked about salary and terms. They ended up offering me a manager role instead of an officer one because of my experience and salary expectations.
- Can you provide details about your educational background?
- Please elaborate on your professional experience.
- What are your thoughts on leadership?
Program Manager
It was a panel of 3 people; 2 technical folks and 1 HR. The lead interviewer, who was the director of that department, kept interrupting me and seemed unfocused, even using her phone and ignoring me at one point. The other two panelists looked awkward about their boss's behavior and tried to make up for it by being overly enthusiastic and encouraging towards me. However, since the director was clearly the decision-maker, it felt like we were all just going through the motions.
- Can you describe the organizational structure of the Ministry of Health?
Fellow
I had one interview that lasted about an hour with five people from the company. It felt pretty relaxed and like a normal conversation. They made me feel comfortable and we even chatted about things like travel, which was nice.
- Why are you interested in working with us and how did you learn about this opportunity?
- Can you describe your communication abilities?
- What would you consider your strengths and areas for improvement?
Program Specialist
It was an entry level position and I was interviewed by 4 people in one day. The first two people were the hiring managers, and the second set of people were employees that previously held the position. They had a hard time deciding between a few candidates and I did not receive a response from the hiring managers/HR for about 3 weeks.
- How do you handle conflict in the workplace?
