First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intoxalock.
Partner Success Manager
It was a 4 stage process. A 3rd party recruiter got me prepped. Then I interviewed with the internal recruiter, the hiring manager, and a panel of upper management. They were really open and easy to talk to. Everyone was available to answer questions after my interviews and I got to negotiate some parts of the offer. Overall, it was a really good experience which is a big part of why I accepted.
- What would you say are your strongest skills?
Inside Sales Supervisor
The entire interview process took about 3 weeks, starting with a phone screen with a recruiter and concluding with an offer. The initial step was a phone screen conducted by a recruiter. Following that, I had an in-person interview with the VP of Inside Sales. Subsequently, I was invited back for an extensive 3-hour session where I met with the Inside Sales Manager and several Supervisors. The final stage involved another face-to-face meeting with the VP of Inside Sales and another Supervisor. Throughout these three weeks, I received updates on the process and what to expect next. My overall experience was very positive; the team was very open, and I appreciated the structured approach. It was evident they were committed to finding the right person and wouldn't compromise on that.
- Questions about performance improvement were asked.
- They inquired about fostering team culture.
- Sales process experience was discussed.
Content Marketing Manager
The interview process involved four stages, starting with an HR call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager, then a writing assignment, and concluding with a final round where I met with two different groups of two people each. The total interview time was around 2 hours. While I was initially enthusiastic about the role, the final interview left me with a negative impression of the company culture. They spoke negatively about former employees and repeatedly stressed the need to work exceptionally hard and go above and beyond. While I understand the importance of dedication, their examples focused heavily on working outside of standard hours, raising concerns about work-life balance and its suitability for a family-friendly environment.
- Can you share instances where you've significantly impacted results in previous roles?
- Describe how you've driven success and achieved tangible outcomes in your past positions.
Sales Representative
I had a phone interview with their recruiter, who was very professional. I mentioned that the hours were not an issue because I have many years of one-call close sales experience, and I reiterated this during my interview with the hiring managers. However, the hiring managers seemed inexperienced. They told their recruiter that they disqualified me because I asked if earlier shifts were available. I just inquired, I didn't have a problem working afternoon and evening shifts. I'm not sure what this company is looking for. I have law enforcement experience in addition to my sales experience, so maybe I was too experienced for them. I re-read the job description, and I have more sales experience than they require. I guess they use Zoom for interviews to weed out older candidates. If they claim you can make 45-55k in your first year, they should express that with more confidence. I feel like the negative reviews about compensation on Glassdoor are accurate.
- Can you describe your sales experience?
