First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.
Global Advisor
It was brief, just one interview to understand my aptitudes, my character, my personality, how I would react in certain situations, where I live, and where I'd like to work.. and also my university background, exams, etc.
- If a client starts shouting at me, how would you handle that?
Risk Analyst
I went through a discrete interview process. It included some behavioural questions and then technical questions. The difficulty was moderate, with some brain teasing elements. In total, I had three interviews before receiving an offer.
- What is VAR?
- Can you explain Scenario Analysis?
- Do you have any questions about Fixed Income?
Software Engineer
The interview was virtual, requiring me to record myself answering questions. It was a pretty bad experience overall. The questions were like textbook HR ones, weirdly worded and not really relevant to the job.
- What value do you bring to this company and team?
- Tell me about a time you had to get everyone to agree on something. How did you manage that?
- Describe a critical situation you encountered at a company. What steps did you take?
Global Advisor
It was a very relaxed interview, with straightforward questions and no technical ones. It lasted about an hour. They ask for examples of particular cases you've dealt with and for your motivations. They also mention the salary upfront so you are fully aware.
- Is it more important to relate to the client or to be competent?
- Could you share some particular cases you've handled during your experience?
- What are the reasons that drive you?
