First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intertech (Minnesota).
Senior .NET Developer
I had a call with the recruiter first, and they set up a technical interview with eTeki. The interviewer seemed okay. He said I might be a good fit, but ultimately decided not to move forward. Who knows if he was just being nice or if they never really considered me. It felt like a waste of my time.
- Can you explain the difference between Response.Redirect and Server.Transfer?
Software Consultant
I first talked to a recruiter about my developer experience, my job goals, and salary expectations. Then, I took a technical assessment online. The recruiter told me I did well on it. After that, the recruiter interviewed me for an hour, asking a lot of questions about my past jobs, career goals, and reasons for leaving my current role. Next, I completed a cultural assessment to see if I'd fit in at Intertech. Finally, I went in for an in-person interview. The whole process was really thorough.
- What do you want in your next job?
- Given three tables (students, student courses, departments), how would you write an SQL query to get the Department ID for all students taking Computer Science?
- On a banking website with user accounts, transactions, and ads, what's your approach to loading these different parts, and in which sequence?
Technical Consultant
It started with a recruiter call, about 30 mins discussing the role and my background. The recruiter was friendly and knew their stuff. Then came the technical interview via webcam. The interviewer was from a third party, and honestly, they were rude and condescending, even asking a trick question. I don't get why this company, known for good employee treatment, would use someone like that.
- In C#, how do you achieve returning multiple values from a function?
Sales
It's a long and detailed process to make sure they get the right hire. They do this through phone, in person, and a personality review. They make sure interviewees want to work at Intertech as much as they want to make the hire.
- Would you be willing to make calls?
