First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at InterSystems.
Tech Specialist
So first there were two online assessments. One checked my coding knowledge, and the other was an English reading comprehension test, which might be a bit tricky if English isn't your first language. After that, HR called me to set up a chat with the hiring manager. I had that interview, and then got the offer about a week later.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- Could you detail the projects you worked on during college?
- How do you collaborate with others on a project?
Applications Specialist
I applied on their website and then got sent 3 online tests: TET, PET and a PI Survey. The personality test was easy, but the TET and PET were hard. The TET had questions about Boolean, Numeric strings, variable names, arrays, concatenation, set and kill etc... These were technical, so you need to prepare because you only get 45 minutes for 20 questions. After that, I had a phone interview. The interviewer was nice and it went well. It was a chat about my experience and background. She said she'd talk to the program manager. Finally, I got an email saying I didn't have enough experience with clinical systems. That's fair.
- Technical employment test
Application Specialist
I was contacted by an HR manager and completed 3 tests: an aptitude test, a math/logic test, and an internal test on learning a new programming language. After passing these, I had 3 interviews with 3 different managers, which I passed. I then provided 3 references, which were also positively evaluated. This whole process took a month and a half. The HR manager congratulated me on passing and we discussed the salary offer over the phone, reaching an agreement to finalize within 2 weeks pending paperwork. After 10 days, they reassured me the delay was normal and documents would be sent. About 3 days later, I received a brief email stating I was not selected, though they complimented my skills and wished me luck. I had turned down other opportunities for this, and their unprofessionalism and disrespect were shameful. This was my experience with InterSystems.
- Can you describe your past work history?
