First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at InterSystems.
Executive Assistant
It started with a quick call from a recruiter. After that, I was sent links for different tests without any instructions. The personality tests were pretty standard, asking 'How would you describe yourself?' and 'How would others describe you?'. The third test, a PET test, was really tough and seemed very US-focused. I didn't pass that one. Then, weeks later, an agency reached out to see if I was still interested in the role. I said yes, but I'd already been rejected. The agency mentioned the role was hard to fill and thought the testing wasn't suitable, making me question what they're actually looking for.
- Personality testing and PET tests.
Administrative Assistant
The interview process kicked off with an onsite interview where I had to complete two assessments. After that, I met with the Recruiter and then the ASG Manager. Later on, I returned for a second and final interview with the Director of Operations.
- What aspects of your prior job did you not like?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process was quite lengthy, at least 3 weeks if they were interested in you. First, you had to complete a personality and skills assessment quiz before getting a phone interview. The phone interview was with an HR rep, covering basic questions like 'Why admin assistant' and 'Tell me about your background,' focusing on your eagerness to learn. Then, there was an in-person interview with three managers. One part was a conversation about your skills, competencies, and how you'd fit into the work environment, touching on discretion, workplace gossip, teamwork, and multitasking. Another part was a Q&A session about handling organization, dealing with underperforming coworkers, big mistakes, and confidentiality. The last part involved the managers presenting your personality assessment results, so it was important to ask good questions. The final interview was with the VP, who made the ultimate decision. This was a personality match, based heavily on the same personality assessment, so understanding your results was key. The only other question asked was 'Why Intersystems?'
- Describe a time you dealt with a difficult team member and how you managed it.
- Can you share an instance of a mistake you made and how you corrected it?
- Provide examples of times you kept information confidential.
