First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
Head of Learning
It was a two stage interview process. First, I had a face to face meeting with the Senior Vice President of HR. After that, we had a quick chemistry meeting with some of the team. Both of these were in person and lasted about an hour each.
- Can you share some examples of Leadership Development activities you have previously led?
Sales Manager
There was a lot of focus on past work history. They asked about previous roles and relationships, and for you to describe your procedures and sales approach. It was a pretty standard interview, not too tough, but you should know your stuff for the area you're interviewing for.
- Can you tell me about some of the challenges you've faced in the sales cycle?
Front Desk Agent
The interview process was really quick and simple. They weren't difficult because they needed to hire someone urgently. Everyone I met was friendly and approachable. The HR person answered all my questions.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Front Office Manager
I had a good interview process with the General Manager of the property. The interview was on site and included a tour of the property. I left the interview with a good understanding of the needs of that specific property.
- Tell me about your experience in front office operations management.
