I spoke with the Talent Acquisition Manager. They seemed unaware of the role's requirements and repeatedly asked if I knew the job description, then read it aloud. They mentioned it's a new position and asked the same things multiple times. They kept asking about my salary expectations but wouldn't share their range. Eventually, they said it was a junior role. It was hard to communicate with them – felt like a lot of red flags.

The interview process was a bad experience. Management expects you to put a complete hold on your current job and go all in to intersect before getting hired. I don’t understand the rationale. Why would you hire somebody who spends half the time at their current job researching and prepping for your interview. You do realize they will do the same thing at your company if hired. I would suggest tweaking your process.

I had an initial screen with the recruiter, then moved on to the Hiring Manager for round 2 about a week later. After that, I met with a panel of my potential colleagues a couple of weeks following that. The decision came through about three weeks after the panel interview. The whole thing took about 6 weeks, which felt pretty standard for tech companies in the Bay Area.

The interview process was pretty simple at first. The interviewer was running late but he emailed me to let me know which was cool. He asked me some basic interview questions. It took about half an hour. Then I had to meet with three other interviewers from different departments, and that part was straightforward too. After that, I had to come in for a second in-person interview, which did not go well. I pretty much bombed it and didn't get the job.
