First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at International Services.
Marketing Analyst
The interview was pretty relaxed and informative. The interviewer shared a lot about the pay structure, including how commissions and bonuses are broken down, and clarified that the position isn't entirely commission-based. They also shared a personal success story and mentioned the company's practice of internal promotions.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and what you can contribute?
Business Analyst
After receiving an email to schedule an interview, there was a phone screen that lasted 45 minutes to an hour with a director. There may be a second interview. I think they choose who they think will succeed or be a great fit for the position and the interview process is just getting to know you.
- What makes you think you'd be a successful analyst?
Business Consultant
I was approached for a role at a local company via a consultant from ISI. This consultant later told me I was overqualified and spoke poorly of the client company, suggesting I apply to ISI instead. Despite reservations about their ethics, I applied and had a phone interview that same afternoon. I was then sent a case study requiring an Excel P&L and Cash flow schedule, plus links to affiliated companies and a job description. A second phone interview was set up. I completed the case study, including a balance sheet that showed the company should have failed. I submitted the Excel file and had an 'interview' that focused more on their commission/pay structure, which was unclear and seemed to prioritize selling more hours and 'services' (including unconventional business loans for consulting fees) to clients regardless of their actual need or ability to pay. I also learned the consultant would get a $350 bonus if I stayed over 3 months. Ultimately, I felt I'd have to compromise my ethics and integrity, and forget work/life balance, though I would have liked to help businesses improve.
- Would you be open to traveling 100% of the time?
- How do you feel about this [inflated] salary range?
- Are you prepared to pay for rental cars and hotels upfront and then submit for reimbursement?
Area Manager
I had a great phone interview. It was really thorough and felt like a conversation. They also gave me a lot of good info. The person interviewing me was easy to talk to and asked some really smart questions about what I'm looking for. They were also very open about the job and what it's like to work there.
- What motivated you to contact us?
