Behavioral Technical Other

Started with a phone interview, then had an online assessment about my motivations. After that, I was invited to Houston for interviews with 3-4 people all in one day. They extended an offer, and I countered. Funny enough, a month after starting, the things I negotiated for (like smartphones and 4 weeks vacation) were denied because the hiring manager didn't actually have the authority to approve them.

I talked to 3 people. First, the HR screening person. They didn't know much about the job, so just make sure you use all the keywords in your answers. It was easy. Then, I spoke with the Hiring Manager. They asked a good amount of technical questions to check if I knew my stuff, but they were mostly high-level and not too specific. Lastly, the Regional IT director. I made sure to be classy and respectful and show how I could add value to the company based on what they needed the role for.

Behavioral Technical Other

Right after a phone interview, they set up another interview pretty fast. There were a bunch of tests to see how we'd rate on personality for the senior management to get our thought process. The senior manager might belittle you though, just showing off their shallow management ideas they actually use.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process included a chat with the hiring manager, a competency test that wasn't too tough, and an interview with HR along with a personality test. My overall impression of the company wasn't great. To start, I had to find my own way from the reception to the office. The HR person seemed really unprofessional. Feedback took ages to come through, and they eventually just stopped replying to my emails. I got another offer and was really curious to see how bad the HR process would be here. It ended up taking more than two months for any feedback, even after I called and emailed multiple times. They said they were busy and on holidays, but honestly, it felt more like HR incompetence. It wasn't a great look for Akzo Nobel, or international paints.
