The interview for a recruiter position at IFG was a 2 stage interview. The first stage was with the Recruiter team (2 interviewers) and the second stage was with the director. The interview was seamless and more of a conversation. It was very easygoing.

The interview process was smooth. They asked relevant questions and it felt more like a discussion rather than a one-sided Q&A. I had 2 rounds of interviews on the same day, but after that, it felt like the team takes a long time to get back to you about your application status, whether you're selected or not.

I was told that the position would match my current contract rate (which it did) but that the client would hire me full time after a few months. Also told that the client was okay with my full-time salary requirements as well. Found out after accepting the contract role that the client company only intended to bring in temps while searching for candidates for open positions, and that this was NOT a temp-to-hire role as IFG had explained. Also found out after accepting contract that my full time salary requirements were outside of the range for the position, and I was put in a position where I was forced to take a lower paying salary as a full-time employee than what I needed.

First, a recruiter called to screen me, we reviewed my profile, and I gave examples of projects. The recruiter explained the open role and asked about my salary expectations. This was a 30-minute call. Next, I had a 30-minute face-to-face, one-on-one meeting with the recruiter. We discussed the client and the role in detail, and they reviewed my profile again, offering suggestions for changes to make for the client interview. They were supposed to confirm the client interview details, but after 2 days, I was informed that the position had been filled internally.
