First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intermark Group.
Front End Developer
Had an interview with three designers/developers in their office, which is located inside an old Airstream bus that they moved inside the building and use for meetings. They did this to add flare or quirk or culture or something.

Project Manager
Candidates are usually brought in by recruiting agencies. First, hiring managers do interviews to see if you generally qualify and are a good fit. Then, it's 2-3 rounds with other managers to check your specific skills and qualifications. The last interview is usually with a few team members to make sure you'd fit in with the team and to clear up any last qualification questions.
- Can you estimate the number of gas stations in the US?
Software Engineer
I had two interviews, both were face-to-face group interviews. The culture there was very laid back, jeans and t-shirt on a day-to-day basis, very young, non-corporate. Their office has a pool table and other fun things in a converted warehouse. First interview was technical with some employees. The interview was pretty standard. Asked a lot about my experience, technologies I've used, etc. They asked me about 4-5 technical questions. The second interview was with both technical and non-technical employees. The questions consisted of planning and interaction type questions. They're primarily looking for someone who meshes with their culture. So be personable and friendly.
- Regarding C#, can you explain the difference between pass by value and pass by reference?
- Could you describe the page life cycle in ASP.NET?
- Given a customer request, walk me through your thought process for estimating the number of hours required.
Intern
The interview process was very casual and laid back. The interviewers were nice and asked straightforward questions. Before the interview questions, they gave a tour of the office. Everyone was very nice.
- Could you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
