Applied online and HR reached out about two weeks later. Had an initial 40min call with the HR recruiter, who then set up a time for me to speak with the hiring manager. A week later, I interviewed with the hiring manager and the director of the department, which was a surprise since I wasn't told the director would be there. The interview seemed to go well, but then I heard nothing. I followed up with HR and the hiring manager a couple of times over 4 weeks, but got no response, so I withdrew my application. It left a bad impression of the company's interview process.

I was contacted by a recruiter after applying. We chatted for about 15-20 minutes. She was extremely positive and said the team would love to speak with me, so she scheduled my next interview. The next interview was a zoom appointment, so I made sure to look presentable. When the meeting started, the interviewer didn’t use video, which is fine, but it’s nice to know beforehand. Turns out he was driving. We were once interrupted by 30 second of repetitive honking and at one point he even dropped his phone under his seat. Otherwise, no difficult questions were asked and we seemed to have a nice conversation. They never contacted me again after 2-3 follow up emails. The position is still open two months later.

I applied online and heard back from the in-house recruiter for a phone interview, which went really well and gave me a good feel for the company. After that, I interviewed with the Senior Accountant, who explained the role and answered my questions. Then I had a great interview with the Controller, who I felt would be a supportive boss and was clear about her expectations. The final interview was a casual chat with the VP of Finance & Growth, who talked about the company's growth, business model, and work environment. The hiring process was super efficient and fast, and the recruiter, Kim, kept in touch regularly.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process for this role involved a project and four separate interviews with five people, all conducted over Zoom. The HR team was helpful and flexible with scheduling. Everyone I spoke with was open about the company culture. I liked that they took the time to get to know me and for me to get to know them too, to make sure joining the team would be a good fit for both of us. The questions they asked were interesting and relevant.
