First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Interfaith Community Services.
HR Manager
Three interviews happened. First was a phone call with a recruiter. Second was with the hiring manager on teams. Third was with the hiring manager and some leadership team members also on teams. Not sure what happened after that, I was ghosted.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging employee situation?
Chief of Staff
The interview process was really well-organized with specific questions prepared beforehand. The interviewers were a great team – pleasant, friendly, diverse, and clearly passionate about their work. The conversation gave me a better understanding of the organization and the role itself, and I learned about their exciting future plans and community initiatives.
- What are your perspectives on diversity, equity, and inclusion?
Development Assistant
The first interview was a phone screen to check if I had the right skills. Then, I had an in-person interview with the Development team. They were really nice and positive people. After that, I met with the Director, who was also very friendly. Everyone seemed focused on helping people and building connections. Even though I didn't get an offer, I have good memories of the organization.
- When hearing about a major gift, would you be more excited about the news itself or the possibilities it opens up?
Maintenance Technician
had an in person interview, they asked a few questions, then I took a tour. Turned down the job though, clients are really dirty and can be confrontational. Too much drama. They ask questions, a lot of questions, and you gotta be alert.
- Tell me about how you handle priorities.
- How do you approach working with people who have addictions?
