Customer Service Agent
They gave me a quiz and asked questions about the job technical details and general info about the company and its competitors. It was a plus if I was familiar with the fashion industry and knowing foreign languages was essential to verify.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and why you're interested in this role?
Customer Care Representative
The interview started with a phone screen where they asked about my work history and availability. Then, I went in person and met the Hiring Manager for some quick questions. After that, I had two tests: one paper test with questions about brands, capitals, and zip codes, and another online test simulating customer situations like missing items or responding to emails. Finally, I met a supervisor who didn't seem to review my resume or tests, and he asked about my strengths and weaknesses. I was told I'd get an offer soon, but I declined it because the workload and hours didn't fit my class schedule.

The process was pretty simple, but felt unprofessional. I first got an email to schedule a phone interview, all done through an electronic calendar. The HR person called at the scheduled time but then said she spilled water and needed to call back. She did call back about five minutes later and we did the standard interview. Then, we scheduled an in-person interview using the same calendar system, but it had two different addresses listed. On the day of the in-person interview, it involved a test on country capitals, US state abbreviations, and a typing/color blind test, which seemed like generic online tests. I also briefly met with the supervisor and CEO. They didn't really discuss my qualifications much, that was surprisingly more during the phone interview. Their hiring standards weren't very high (a high school diploma wasn't even necessary). I don't think there was a background check or drug test. They really pushed for me to start in one week so I could train with the other new employees. I had mentioned I needed to give two weeks' notice to my current job, but they wouldn't allow that. Turns out they were training other employees three weeks later, so I could have started with that group. Overall, the process was easy, but there were definitely a lot of red flags.
- Have you had prior customer service experience?
- Can you tell me the capital of a country?
- What is the abbreviation for a US state?

It was all virtual. It was a true test of your ability to find information needed if you were working for this employer. There were several different ability tests such as color blindness and a typing test as part of the interview.
- What online fashion stores do you shop at?
