First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intercept Pharmaceuticals.
Paralegal
Saw the job posting online and applied through the company's website. HR and then the hiring manager spoke with me over the phone. Then there was an in-person interview that was pretty informative. The team seemed mostly friendly and professional, though some folks looked a bit overworked and stressed. It seems like different team members had varying ideas about the expected work hours for a paralegal, and since the attorneys work long hours, it might mean the paralegal will too.

Clinical Trials Associate
the interview process was very nice, the senior leads are very pleasant, and they are very focused on company culture since it's a startup and the company is still finding its feet. They are very focused on finding the right fit. I interviewed four times over a 2-month period. They asked about my experience to date and will ask about what I know about the company but are keen to share where they come from.

Executive Director
The interview process was slow and disorganized, with multiple interviewers asking the same questions. It didn't seem streamlined at all. It felt like hurry-up and wait. I'm not sure they ever hired for the role, and the definition of the role itself was unclear. The C-level gave a different description than the direct report. They had mass layoffs shortly after.
- What motivates your interest in working with us?
Manager
I had an HR call first, then interviewed with the hiring manager, and finally had a panel interview with 4-5 people. They mainly asked about my past experience, knowledge, and if I'd be a good culture fit. The interviews were pretty relaxed, and overall, it was a great experience.
