I only spoke with their People and Culture leader, so I'm not sure what the rest of the process would have been. I do know they don't call you if they reject you, even if they interview you, which I find pretty lazy. You still just get an automated ATS email for rejection even if you spend time interviewing.

The recruitment process was kinda unprofessional. For improvement, recruiters didn't seem to know company benefits, the role's responsibilities, or even the org structure, with one even saying they 'think Chip is the CEO'. They asked for 6 references after my first or second interview, which is a lot and should probably be reserved for when an offer is imminent. The interview stages were pretty standard: a hiring manager screen, interviews with engineering leads, and then an hour-long review of a PRD with the hiring manager. The recruiter was vague about the assignment, just saying it'd be a chat about a product I'd launched. Things seemed good with the hiring manager after that, and we talked about meeting the CEO. But then, two days later, I got a generic rejection email, the kind you get before even the resume screen. I liked the hiring manager and the engineering leads, they seem like good product and engineering leaders. The recruitment side needs work though. Bigger companies can give feedback after multiple interviews. I wish Intellum luck.

This company has an unprofessional interview experience with too many rounds, 5 to be exact: HR, hiring manager, technical, team, and VP of engineering. The entire process spanned over two weeks. The HR person struggled with scheduling, providing the wrong meeting link, which made me late and they blamed me. After finally getting to the technical interview, it had two parts: a Python coding challenge on Coderpen and a system troubleshooting exercise. The Python part involved parsing CSVs and correlating data, but Coderpen was a nightmare and wasted time for both me and the interviewer. Then came the system troubleshooting where I was given a URL and SSH access with no guidance, and the task was basically to restart their app. I finished it in under an hour. Three days later, I got an automated rejection email with no explanation. Don't recommend this company if you're looking for a serious opportunity.

I talked with a bunch of Intellum folks. Started with the HR director and then met with people higher up in my department. The last interview was with the team lead. None of the chats felt like strict interviews; they were more like back-and-forths about what I'd done before. The whole thing helped me understand the job better and show how I've dealt with stuff in past jobs. There were 5 interviews in total.
