First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intelligent Technical Solutions.
IT Technician
It's a mix of technical, logical, and behavioral questions. You'll probably get asked about troubleshooting, working with others, and how you keep up with new tech. They might also use online tests, including logic and IQ stuff, and even video interviews you record yourself.
- How would you go about fixing a technical problem, for example, a network issue?
Website Manager
So, the process starts with a pre-employment assessment, and then you have to send a pre-recorded video message to the hiring team. After that, you wait for them to set up the next interview, which is just with the HR team. Once that's done, you get another assessment, and you'll need to follow up with emails again to get the actual interview. In this interview, they'll ask you lots of questions about the job functions and also give you an assignment. After you submit the assignment, you have to follow up again. It's a whole process that takes over a month, which is kinda crazy for a role that could be filled in a week.
- What are your thoughts on the job descriptions?
Software Engineer
Before the interview, there was a lot of testing, including typing speed (which is unusual for this job) and a very intense series of intelligence tests, more than I've ever seen. They also gave a personality test, which I didn't send back because it felt inaccurate, personal, and invasive. All this extra application and pre-interview testing took way longer than the 60 minutes they said it would. I found the whole thing intrusive and annoying, and it left a bad impression of the employer. When it came to scheduling the phone interview, the person doing the screening didn't seem to know basic polite behavior. The phone interview itself was also not good because it was clear they didn't think I was a good fit based on one thing, even though I could do the job, but they were going ahead anyway because of my test scores. It wasn't a positive or welcoming experience; it was actually condescending. At that point, even though I liked their product, they seemed to have a bad hiring environment. Also, the job's actual responsibilities were more than what the title suggested, expecting executive-level experience for a lower-level role, making it hard to fill or find someone willing to do it. They've now reposted the job, which suggests their process isn't working well for them. They really need to rethink their whole process because it's very unusual and not helping them find the right person who's willing to go through this annoying and somewhat degrading process for a job that requires more experience than the title implies.
- Did you have experience working with executives?
Sales Specialist
The interview process was exhausting, and I couldn't finish the test. I got an email saying I didn't pass, which was funny because shortly after, they sent another email asking me to take the test. It seems like there might have been an error.
- Was not able to get into the initial interview
