First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intel Corporation.
Business Analyst
The interview process was pretty long, but they were really good about keeping me in the loop the whole time and the difficulty felt about medium. The people interviewing me were nice. I didn't end up getting the job, but I'd probably try again later.
- Can you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
Senior Business Analyst
First interview was with a team member where standard questions were asked and a live EXCEL demo was performed. Second interview was with two managers and involved a required case study in EXCEL and PowerPoint presentation, which took hours. No feedback or communication was provided after the interview.
- Present your findings from the EXCEL case study.
Business Analyst
I had two phone interviews initially. Then, they flew me down to Folsom, CA from Washington. There, I met with four managers from the business group I was applying to. They first asked for a brief summary of my background and inquired about my past experiences at Intel since I had worked there before. The main part of the interview involved a behavioral assessment with several "what would you do in this scenario" questions. The interview environment felt really open and friendly, and the managers were great at answering my questions about the business group and the role. It seems like there will be a background check after this, and then the offer.
- Imagine you have a limited supply of 50 processor units. Dell, a major customer, wants them all, and so does a small white-box operation. How would you decide who gets the supply?
- What would you do if Dell, your major customer, and a small mom-and-pop shop both wanted the same limited supply of 50 processor units?
- If you were faced with a situation where you only had 50 units of a processor available, and Dell, your major customer, wanted them, but a small mom-and-pop shop also wanted that same supply, who would you give it to?
