First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Integral Resources.
Fundraiser
I met with Samuel at the Durham office. He asked about my education and my background in politics and with Progressive causes. He then said he thought I'd be a good fit for Integral Resources, and we discussed their pay structure and my questions. Samuel is responsive to emails, as a couple days before training started, I emailed him some questions after researching the company further, and he replied by the next business day.
- Could you tell me about your academic background?
- Which causes do you feel strongly about?
- What experience do you have with phone solicitation?
Donor Relations Agent
It was easy, less than 20 minutes. Super general questions about experience, background, and goals. They asked if I was interested and if I could do the job. The whole process was pretty simple and only took 20 minutes, and I was able to start training in less than a week.
- What is your background experience?
- What are your goals?
- What are your skills?
Fundraiser
It was a pretty straightforward process. Since I knew the hiring manager personally, I had an advantage. I was told about what they expected and what I needed to do to get the job. There's an unpaid training week that lasts for a week, and after that, you have to take a test on Civics and politics, and you need to get at least an 80 to pass. They actually go over the exact questions from the test with you before you take it.
- Can you tell me about your previous sales experience?
- What about your previous customer service experience?
- Do you have any knowledge of Civics 101?
Telefundraiser
The interview process was straightforward. It involved a single interview round. The questions asked were typical for any job interview, such as inquiring about my strengths, weaknesses, and prior sales experience. I was also asked to perform a sales exercise where I had to sell a pen to the interviewer. As expected for a telemarketer/fundraiser role, the focus was on assessing sales skills. Nothing was unexpected, and the interview seemed quite manageable.
- Can you demonstrate how you would sell this pen to me?
