Data Scientist
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a second phone screen with two Data Scientists that included some straightforward live-coding on a shared screen. Then, there was a homework assignment, and finally, an on-site interview. The on-site was pretty standard for a non-Junior DS role. I was given a 'homework assignment' ahead of time, and I presented my solution to the entire DS team. They asked about my methodology and quizzed me on potential next steps. The 1:1 interviews were the typical mix: algorithmic whiteboarding in Python, discussions about Machine Learning projects, whiteboard probability problems, and conversations with some of the DS's about their projects and how I'd approach them.
- Given a scenario where we aim to achieve ____, what challenges do you anticipate and how would you tackle this problem if you were leading the effort?
- Please provide code to resolve the following common algorithmic problem.
- Is there a more efficient way to achieve this?
Data Scientist
It was a three stage interview process. First, there was an on-site technical interview that lasted about 30-45 minutes. Second, I had to complete a data analysis assignment and report, and I was given a week to finish it. Third, there was a long on-site interview. It began with discussing my data analysis assignment results and report with the entire team, followed by several one-on-one meetings with different team members.

Data Scientist
It was a personal interview, then a data analysis project, and finally a group interview. The technical interview part was great. However, later on, some SVPs and employees had a pretty interesting attitude that felt a bit demeaning. While I appreciated the technical interview itself, their attitude wasn't something I was looking forward to.
