First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Integra Realty Resources.
Commercial Real Estate Analyst
I had a phone chat with the Senior Managing Director. He was pretty chill to talk to. We covered my history, my current gig, and the job I applied for. Since it turned out the job I applied for wasn't the best fit, he pointed me toward another part of the industry and a company that might be a better match. I'm grateful for his input.
- Could you walk me through your personal history and professional background?
Analyst
I sent an email to the branch manager about an online job posting. He replied in two days, and I drove to Austin for a lunch interview the next week. The manager and another analyst interviewed me. It was a nice chat, mostly about why I wanted to move and my interest in real estate. The manager told me to start online valuation training, so I did. At the end, they said nothing was open now but I'd be a good fit and they'd find something for me soon. A month later, I finished the courses myself, but they aren't replying to my emails about an offer.
- What makes you want to work in valuations?
- Do you have a writing sample we can review?
Afterschool Specialist
I first spoke with the Director of Auxiliary Programs, who then connected me with the Director of Afterschool. After reaching out, I met with her. She explained the three open positions, and I expressed interest in the longer part-time role that best matched my skills and their needs. Later, I was informed they were interested and invited back to read a book of my choice and conduct an activity with the children, with both directors present who gave positive feedback. My references were checked, and I received an offer. I started by working with summer camps and in the office to get acquainted with everyone and make a good impression.

Researcher
I was referred by someone who works there. I don't know if they had any open positions for this role at the time. After a few emails with the office manager, I was invited to interview. The interview started with the managing director and office manager, but soon others joined, including senior appraisers from the team.
- Can you describe your method for solving puzzles in detail?
