I had a 30-minute first-round phone interview for a project analyst position in Boston. This project analyst role is basically an entry-level project manager job where you'd be looking at financials, working with SharePoint, and supporting other project managers, with room to grow. They really emphasize cultural fit, although I didn't get a clear picture of Intarcia's culture. My interviewer also explained the compensation structure: it's multiplicative, so if you earn a base of $100 and perform well, your pay increases by, say, 20% (making it $120). Then, if the company also performs well, you get an additional bonus of, say, 10%, calculated on the $120, not the original $100, bringing your total to $132. The interviewer didn't ask many questions. They plan to hire a lot of people in 2017 and are very quick with communication, which was appreciated compared to the usual silence from most companies. I wasn't invited for an on-site interview.

The interview process was quite long, but it made sense given their current situation. It started with a phone screen, followed by a video conference. Then, there was a full day of interviews which included a panel presentation and three in-person interviews. After that, I had another interview with the area VP. It was a good experience being part of it all.

It was a really friendly and informative interview process. They didn't ask any trick questions or the usual 'where do you see yourself in 5 years?' kind of questions. Since it was before COVID, it was in person, which was much easier than doing it over Zoom or the phone.

It was just a phone interview for a 6-month contract role, with potential for extension. They needed someone fast, so it was a quick process with only a phone screen, no in-person stuff.
