Business Analyst
The interview process was really well-organized and straightforward. It kicked off with a phone screen from a recruiter who reached out on LinkedIn, and they gave me clear info about the job and what they were looking for. After that, there was just one main round of interviews with the hiring manager and project manager. They mostly asked about my past experience, how I solve problems, and my approach to data analysis. They seemed more keen on understanding my thought process than just bombarding me with technical stuff.
- Tell me about how you deal with stakeholders who are resistant to change or don't agree with your recommendations.
- What tools and techniques do you typically use when creating business process models?
- Could you differentiate between functional and non-functional requirements, using examples from your previous projects?

I got a call from HR and we talked about my resume and skills. They had two openings, but after our chat, they decided to place me on the IT side. I then had an interview with HR and the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager asked most of the questions and sometimes went off-camera while I was answering. He explained the role, which sounded like a project manager job but with a BA salary. I didn't get an offer, and HR told me two days later they needed someone with more technical experience.
- Could you give me a 2-minute overview of your resume starting from your first role?
- For 3 minutes, could you discuss your current role?
- Can you provide an architectural blueprint of your current role, essentially outlining your day-to-day activities?
Business Analyst
The whole process took about a month. First, there was an initial chat with HR over Teams. Then, another remote session on Teams, this time with both HR and the hiring manager. They also asked for references at some point.
- Can you describe a situation you encountered at work?
- What are your aspirations for your career?
- Please provide your references.
